Friday's Funny: Remade Movie Trailers
This goes to show how you can take a piece of film, edit it, splice it, throw in "mood music" to create something that it's not. Michael Moore must have started out this way. But here's some movie clips that have been twisted to be humorous. Enjoy.

About that Big Tent
The Colin Powell - Tom Ridge - T. Coddington Van Voorhees VII wing of the Republican Party (a.k.a "Republicans for Obama") keep insisting that the Republican party needs to be a "big tent" party, and to accomplish same by kicking Evangelical Christians (the ones who actually believe in Jesus Christ and don't see church a daycare and social club type thing), pro-lifers, tax protesters, "nativists" (i.e., those who support secure borders), and global warming skeptics out of the tent.
Let's consider this:
- Christian Evangelicals are ~40% of the population.
- Pro-Lifers make up 51% of the population
- 66% of voters in the most liberal state in the country voted down tax increases. Consistent with other polls that show 66% of voters prefer lower taxes and smaller government.
- 41% of the public is skeptical of Global Warming hysteria. And the number is rising.
- 66% of the public opposes Amnesty and wants the borders secured.
Couple these figures with the facts that Democrats already have a lock on the secular, pro-abortion, big government, ManBearPig vote, illegal immigrant vote and... tell me, how does tossing out the Christians, the pro-lifers, the tax protesters, and the climate skeptics get the Republicans back in power?

This Is What The Government Wants
The headline on Drudge says it all. Bela Pelosi was lecturing the Chicoms on junk science and "environmental justice" hoping that they would buy into their hoax known as "global warming".
Just so that I am not guilty of taking Frau Pelousy's comments out of context, here's the whole quote and the prelude:
In answering a question from a student about how Pelosi was going to get Americans to cut back on their carbon emissions, the leading Democratic lawmaker said it was important to educate children on how to conserve energy and for citizens to build more environmentally friendly homes.
"We have so much room for improvement," she said. "Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory ... of how we are taking responsibility."
So that means Green Gestapo running around spying on their neighbors, taking down how much they're driving their SUV, only giving them certain times to mow their lawn, reminding them to limit their shower time to under 3 minutes, and don't forget about that roof that needs painted to curb "global warming". The elite though will still get to use as much energy as they like in their mansions and fly their jets around while we are forced to lower our "carbon footprint".
You knew it was going to get crazy when the ChiComs started preaching to us about free-market economics.

Republicans Can't Stop Sotomayor, But They Can Hurt the Democrats
As I have thought about it, trying to stop Sotomayor is a no-win situation for the Republicans; they don't have the numbers, and even if they did, Obama would only appoint someone just as radical. Democrats do not nominate moderates to the court. Period. The swing justices...Kennedy, O'Connor... are always Republican appointees.
What the Republicans can do is play hardball by focusing on how far out of the mainstream Sotomayor is on the issues of race, eminent domain, and gun control. On race, the Ricci case shows her support for race-based discrmination against white males. The Didden case shows her support for government confiscation of private property even where there is overwhelming evidence of political corruption. Her views on the Second Amendment --- gun ownership is unconstitutional --- are as radical as can be.
The game would be to make her a political liability for Obama and any Democrat that votes for her. Voting for Sotomayor is a vote for race-based discrimination, confiscation of private property, and gun confiscation. Make that vote stick to Democrats like a deer tick.
Republicans have to think of the long game. They can't win this battle, but they can make the Democrats pay a price.

The Horrors of Christian Theocracy
An anonymous idiot at Moonbattery makes the following comment.
No, the only things Christians are doing are organizing and voting. So what the Anonymous twerp is really outraged about isn't Christians threatening Democracy, but Christians participating in Democracy. I guess, to a leftist, only progressive fascists like ACORN are entitled to petition their government for a redress of grievances. Christians only have the right to sit down and shut up. IMHO, the combination of a one-party media combined with massive voter fraud and a Cult of Personality around a charismatic "lightworker" are a far greater threat to Democracy than organized Christians, but I digress.
By the left's definition, the USA was a Christian Theocracy until about 1962 when the Supreme Court outlawed school prayer; and the country seems to have gotten along well enough up unto that point.
Like most leftist moral relativism, this "Christian Theocracy" tripe is pure horseshit, but it got me to wondering, what would this "Christian Theocracy" --- this boogeyman of the far left --- actually look like? Supposing the Christian Right got everything it wanted, what would society look like? Probably something like this:
Christianists in America are the biggest internal threat to American democracy and islamic facists are the biggest external threat.Once again, this demonstrates ALS's liberal tenet about moral relativism: Islamic Fascists = Christian-"ists." Never mind that Christians are not blowing up airplanes, flying airplanes into building, strapping on bomb belts and walking into gay discos... we who worship are all what Ward Churchill might call "Little Bin Ladens."

Mark Levin's Message For The Ingrates
Some people either are completely ignorant or completely ungrateful about aspects of America and American industry. In this audio bit, Levin makes it very clear that without minor conveniences and things that make our life more productive and enjoyable are thanks to capitalism, American ingenuity, and our work ethic and innovation that could only exist in America, as well as the freedom to do so thanks to our brave men and women in the military.

Obama's SecDoT admits "We want to coerce people out of their cars."
Obama's Secretary of Transportation admits, Our objective is "to coerce people out of their cars."
Yes, Ray Lahood is a Republican, as some idiot moonbat will anonymously point out. So What? It's not about partisan politics, you idiots. That's what your side is about. It's about ideals, freedom and liberty.
The automobile is one of the greatest expressions of individual freedom; personal transportation, point-to-point, according to your own schedule, in an environment you can customize to your comfort.
No wonder the progressive left hates the automobile so much. They would prefer that all but a few select elites rely on crowded public transportation, running on a government schedule, to government-selected points that may or may not be near where you wish to enter or exist, and, of course, at the mercy of unionized public employee unions capable of shutting the system down unless the taxpayers pony up for their bloated salaries, feather-bedding, and gold-plated pensions.

Sotomayor: The Affirmative Action Pick
Sonia Sotomayor passes Obama's liberal empathy test so he's decided to nominate her as the Supreme Court judge to replace David Souter. From National Review who examined her bench records:
Sonia Sotomayer highly favors reverse racism, or as it's come to be known, Affirmative Action. One of her most high profile cases included Ricci v. Destefano, in which several New Haven firefighters were denied promotions due to "a lack of minorities" among those who passed the tests, including Frank Ricci who suffers from dyslexia and had spent 8 to 13 hours a day studying for the exam. You can review the details here, but Sotomayer sided with New Haven's decision to deny these firefighters a promotion.
Of course, anybody who rejects Sotomayer will be seen as racist or sexist, although we conservatives could give a crap about her skin color or her genetalia. It's always the left that's hung up on your pigment or what you have between your legs, as said by Sotomayer herself here:
This is identity politics. There is no racism or sexism here. We on the right are opposed to her views that "the courts make policy" meaning that she would be an activist judge and that since she's one that Obama "empathizes" with, she would dismiss the Constitution and rule based on just feelings and opinion. That is not how someone who is picked to sit on the highest court should rule. And if Obama wanted a Hispanic, Miguel Estrada could have been given a fair shake this time around.
Judge Sotomayor is a liberal judicial activist of the first order who thinks her own personal political agenda is more important that the law as written. She thinks that judges should dictate policy, and that one's sex, race, and ethnicity ought to affect the decisions one renders from the bench...
She has an extremely high rate of her decisions being reversed, indicating that she is far more of a liberal activist than even the current liberal activist Supreme Court.

In 2001, Sonia Sotomayor, an appeals court judge, gave a speech declaring that the ethnicity and sex of a judge “may and will make a difference in our judging.”
“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” said Judge Sotomayor, who is now considered to be near the top of President Obama’s list of potential Supreme Court nominees...

Remember Our Fallen Heroes
Let's all take the time today in between barbecues and spending time with families to remember the selfless men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom.
Although no sculptured marble should rise to their memory, nor engraved stone bear record of their deeds, yet will their remembrance be as lasting as the land they honored. ~ Daniel Webster
God bless our military and their families.

Then, they came for the pies...
Your government at work, cracking down on home-baked pies...
They justify this in the name of public health, claiming home-cooked food is responsible for 1/3 of food-borne illnesses. (Sigh) Basically, your government believes that you are too stupid to cook your own food, and too stupid to assess your own risk of illness from eating a home-cooked pie you buy from a church bake sale.
Instead, we supposedly need cadres of well-compensated bureaucrats to protect us from getting tummyaches, and whose pensions and benefits will drive states to fiscal collapse. I'm not saying there's not a valid benefit to having government agencies involved in public health, but the benefit to banning home-cooked pies seems marginal at best, and doesn't justify the expenditure or the intrusion into private liberty.
An Agriculture Department inspector fired the first salvo in the baked goods battle during Lent after spotting home-baked pies in St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Rochester. The church was told it's against the law to sell pies, cookies and cakes baked at home.
...
"Food prepared in a private home can only be used if that facility is licensed/registered and inspected by the department," state regulations say.

You say you want a revolution...
Deep Thoughts from The American Thinker.
[N]ow we can see clearly what's been happening in the United States during the last three decades. While conservatives have been working to improve our democracy and our free-market economy, liberals have been working to replace our democracy with a dictatorship, and our free-market economy with a command economy controlled by the government. The liberals couldn't say this aloud, because if they did the American people would have tossed them out of office on their ears. So the liberals worked covertly, feigning support for democracy and for the free market while working diligently to undermine both. This is why our politics has been so partisan, so vicious, and so deadlocked. This is why words have lost their meaning in Washington, why we can never get to the bottom of anything, why we lurch from one manufactured scandal to another. It's all been part of a decades-long effort by the liberals to throw sand in our eyes -- to keep us from seeing clearly where they really want to take us. (And this explains why, when we question their judgment on some issue, they go berserk and accuse us of questioning their patriotism. They're afraid we're on the verge of catching on. If you want to have some fun, the next time you're chatting with a liberal and he goes nuts when you call him a socialist, say to him: "I'm so sorry you're offended. Please tell me, what is there about socialism you don't like?"
I still believe most liberals are just well-meaning dupes incapable of thinking through the consequences of their policies, but clearly the end result of liberalism is the loss of individual liberty, and the empowering of an elite political class to rule over them; in other words, a reversion to the norm of human history. Surely, it is at least possible that this has been the goal of the left-wing leadership the whole time.
People Unclear on the Concept
California Assembly speaker Karen Bass says, voters were tired and confused, and that's why they rejected the tax hikes.
See, it has nothing to do with California's bloated bureaucracy, its 235,000 state workers with solid gold pensions, or the $13 Billion spent each year on services for illegal immigrants. It has nothing to do with former legislators being appointed to cushy six-figure jobs on useless state commissions. No, it's because all this democracy made voters too tired to realize that taxes were good for them.
A few weeks ago, this same Karen Bass was caught trying to sneak through a pay raise for her legislative cronies despite the state's financial crisis.
Maybe we should make the message a little easier for the California assembly to understand...

Seven Tenets Of Liberalism
Going off of what my friend V the K posted yesterday, I decided to elaborate a tad. Liberals are under a delusion of grandeur that their beliefs are grounded in reason and fact, when in fact, it's purely emotional and based on so many negative aspects. Even the DUmmy president, Barack Hussein Obama believes this from when it was pounded into him from the likes of radical Marxists Frank Marshall Davis, Saul Alinsky, and the Wrong Reverend Wright.
Based on observing the primitive leftists for quite a while, especially in a post-9/11 America is worth noting. So I've drawn up the Seven Tenets Of Liberalism:
1) Self Loathing - Liberals hate the West. The West is always WRONG (unless it's white Europeans aligning themselves against the United States). Liberals hate America. Liberals hate our Founding. Liberals hate the traditional family. Liberals hate the military, the police, and anything else traditional, good, or fair. Is this grounded in reason? No, it is grounded in hate.
2) Defeatism - Liberals are weak on terrorism, weak on crime, weak on securing our border, and just plain weak. Liberal parents hold "safe drinking" and "safe sex" parties for their teenager children using the excuse that "they're just going to do it anyway." Is this grounded in reason? No, it is grounded in low self-esteem, weakness, and laziness.
3) Multi-Culturalism - Liberals believe that it is wrong to expect a newcomer to America or any Western nation to actually speak English, obey our laws, shower, eat with utensils, etc. Liberals argue that all cultures are equal and we should not consider our (obviously superior) culture to be above those of anyone else under any circumstances. Is this grounded in reason? No, it is grounded in the white guilt of rich white liberals and the virulent racism of some minorities.
4) Blaming the Victim - Liberals believe that we are creating more terrorists by fighting terrorism. They believe that it is the West's responsibility to provide jobs for young disaffected Muslim "youth", who don't want to assimilate in the first place. They say that the West is "Islamophobic" and has to bend over and grease up for them or we're to blame for terrorism. This is simply not true: just look at older Muslims in Europe, who do not support terrorism or Shari'a law. Surely the older Muslims in Europe have been "oppressed" longer than the Muslims in their 20's who were born there and are embracing terrorism. But the liberals believe we're the ones who need to change. Is this grounded in reason? No, it is grounded in selective outrage.
5) Baby Killing - Liberals believe in a woman's right to "choose," which is a euphemism for murdering one's own baby. They say it's a woman's body, ignoring the obvious fact that the baby is a separate entity living inside the mother. Liberals want young women to reject parental roles and kill their babies out of sheer convenience. Roe V. Wade was the law of the land which made it "constitutional", and they dare don't leave it up to a democratic vote in the states. They don't want to even discuss adoption, because they'd still have stretchmarks. Is this grounded in reason? No, it is grounded in vanity.
6) Collectivism - Liberals believe in collectivism - that the group should carry its weakest members - even the voluntary poor. They believe in bringing everybody else down to the level of the lowest, ignorant, and laziest members of society rather than trying to elevate the losers by a good reality bitch-slap. They believe in creating class envy, high taxes, income redistribution, the collapse of the free market, Communism, socialism, and the nanny state. Is this grounded in reason? No, it is grounded in misplaced compassion.
7) Moral Relativism - Liberals believe that Bush and Cheney were the "real" terrorists, that the Islamoterrorists are "freedom fighters," and that Gitmo (where terrorists get three squares a day and the best medical care they've received in their miserable lives) is the equivalent of Auschwitz. They would much rather condemn America (where they are free to do so) than actually go to Iran or North Korea and criticize THEM, because they know they'd never get away with it. Is this grounded in reason? No, it is grounded in fear.
So we have laziness, fear, white guilt, hatred, defeatism, misplaced compassion, vanity, selective outrage, weakness, baby killing, and self-loathing. Doesn't sound like logic or reason to me. Try debating a liberal next time and you will see at least one of many of the aforementioned liberal tenets.
Let me know if I left anything out, I'm sure I did.
Six Flaws of Modern Liberalism
John Hawkins lists six, and you could expand or contract this list if you chose. So as not to steal his thunder, I'm just going to highlight and comment on two of them.
1) You really didn't learn everything you needed to know in kindergarten: Argue with leftists and you soon realize that they have neither learned to think much beyond simplistic slogans, nor have they matured beyond the egoism of a five-year old child. "Torture is wrong!" they proclaim. "But is pouring water on a terrorist's nose really torture?" you may ask. "And is there a moral difference between inflicting pain on a helpless person just for the sake of inflicting pain, and inflicting pain for the purpose of illiciting information that may save innocent lives?" At which point, they will ask for their milk and a rug to lie down on.
"Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do." -- Benjamin Spock: The left has been raised on self-esteem and Hollywood movies. In the movies, the person who uses reason, and deliberation is either evil or wrong, and the person who acts on his emotions is always right. The left takes this to mean that only emotions are true and can be trusted. Obama and Carrie Prejean have exactly the same position on gay marriage, but Obama is right because they love him, and Prejean is wrong because they hate her. That's what passes for logic on the left.
There are four more, but I'm not gonna spoil it.

Shame Shame On Notre Dame
The latest flap here from Nobama is his appearance at Catholic university Notre Dame, even though he views being pro-life as the "extremist" position. I find it not just ironic but extremely hypocritical of Notre Dame's administration to have a man who is the most pro-abortion radical as president in history to give a commencement speech at a university named after the Virgin Mary. Of course, Nobama calls for "understanding" and "dialogue" when it comes to abortion.
There's not much dialogue you can have with a person who who advocates ripping babies loose from their mother's wombs with suction pumps 30 times as powerful as a vacuum cleaner...suction so powerful it rips those tiny babies to pieces, severing arms, legs, heads, torsos. Not only that, but he also voted 4 times for flat out infanticide in Illinois, basically stating that a woman doesn't just have the "right" to abort her baby, but the "right" to a dead baby.
Now which position sounds more extreme here now that I've described it in full? Shame on Notre Dame for inviting him to try to appease Catholic Americans, a large majority who views abortion as an abomination to God Himself. Not only does this hurt the university of Our Lady's image, but their funding as well, as alumni who hold the majority pro-life view are withholding donations.
Obama may be The Messiah to the drooling moonbats, but the Catholic faculty at Notre Dame should have known better. Maybe by reading their Bible: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” - Matthew 7:15
And the wolf here is trying to divide the country even more, spend us into massive generational debt, take over sections of the private sector economy, and bring more societal moral bankruptcy including making more abortions possible.

Ronaldus Maximus Debates Chairman Zero
If only we had a man like The Gipper in the political limelight today. I checked out the whole 8 minute video. You can see through misinformation and cult of personality that we have come a long, long way and have elected an inexperienced Marxist whose love of country is highly questionable. As Reagan had said, "The trouble with our liberal friends isn't that they're ignorant, it's that they know so much that isn't so."
This video starkly contrasts that from true conservatism to true leftism. Abiding and governing by the Constitution our founders laid before us versus those who want to change or even undermine the laws to keep government in check. Freedom vs. a soft tyranny where the government intrudes on almost every aspect of your life. Liberty vs. liberal jaberwocky known as "Hope N' Change". Scary times we are now forced to live in the next three and a half years.

This article by our diva on the right was so good, I had to excerpt it here. Carrie Prejean has taken so much since she received a politicized question at a beauty pageant (why is a gay dude judging a beauty pageant anyway?), she has stood up to all the harsh personal attacks coming from the "tolerant" left and is a great person for it. The libs get what's coming to them here in Ann's column:
Rest of the column can be seen at Human Events.
By the way, for any lurking liberals that want to claim those of us who share the same viewpoint on gay marriage as Prejean are "homophobes" or "intolerant"... your Messiah has the same position.
Not even Dick Cheney can incite the blood-curdling rage of liberals at the sight of a sexy Evangelical Christian. Paula Jones, Katherine Harris, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin and, most recently, Miss California, Carrie Prejean, have all come under a frenzy of attacks from liberals.
Christians are supposed to be fat, balding sweaty little men with bad complexions. It's liberals who are supposed to be the sexy ones. (I know that from watching "The West Wing" and all movies starring Julia Roberts.)
But sadly for liberals, in real life, the fat, balding sweaty little guy with the bad complexion is Perez Hilton and the smoking-hot babe is Carrie Prejean.
This apparent contradiction incites violent anger in liberals, triggering their famous "fight or flight" response. So liberal masturbators are, once again, launching furious attacks on a beautiful Christian in a fit of pique similar to the one directed at Joan of Arc.
First, the Miss USA contest held a press conference to announce that Prejean had breast implants. Take a Christian position in public and Satan's handmaidens will turn all your secrets into front-page news.
Rest of the column can be seen at Human Events.
By the way, for any lurking liberals that want to claim those of us who share the same viewpoint on gay marriage as Prejean are "homophobes" or "intolerant"... your Messiah has the same position.

Flashback: Dems Cheer Blocking Reform
During the 2006 State Of The Union Address, Bush had said that he worked to reform Social Security to save it and was blocked by the Demotwits in the House and Senate. He didn't get a standing ovation for it, but Hillary and company gave themselves a standing ovation for blocking reform and keeping America in debt.
The Democrats ought to be proud of their efforts. Social Security is due to be running in the red come 2016. From the Washington Post:
Any bets that they will still blame Bush for this in 10 years after he tried to reform Social Security?

The Democrats ought to be proud of their efforts. Social Security is due to be running in the red come 2016. From the Washington Post:
The financial health of the Social Security system has eroded more sharply in the past year than at any time since the mid-1990s, according to a government forecast that ratchets up pressure on the Obama administration and Congress to stabilize the retirement system that keeps many older Americans out of poverty.
The report, issued yesterday by the trustees who monitor the government's two main forms of help for the elderly, shows that Medicare has become more fragile as well and is at greater risk than Social Security of imminent fiscal collapse. Starting eight years from now, the report says, the health insurance program will be unable to pay all its hospital bills.
The findings put a stark new face on the toll the recession has taken on the two enormous entitlement programs. They also intensify a political debate, gathering strength among Democrats and Republicans, over how quickly President Obama should tackle Social Security when health-care reform is his administration's most urgent domestic priority...
Specifically, the trustees' report predicts that the trust fund from which Social Security payments are made will be unable to pay retirees full benefits by 2037, four years earlier than forecast a year ago. In particular, the trustees single out the financial weakness of the part of the program that subsidizes disabled Americans, saying that fund will run out of money in 2020.
Any bets that they will still blame Bush for this in 10 years after he tried to reform Social Security?

Big Day For Barry
Going around the blogosphere, I've come across a hilarious blog from TCD reader Innominatus with some funny scripts of B.O.'s world in the White House. I'd love to see a skit like this on television, but we all know we wouldn't see this on SNL or on Letterman anytime soon.
Read the rest of the post here. Great job there Innominatus and keep up the good work.
[Senator Reid, on TV] "We'll be taking out summer recess soon. The odor of perspiring visitors touring the Capitol is already beginning to bother me. Usually this doesn't become a problem until the first week of June. How much evidence of global warming do we need before we act? How much BO do I have to smell before a bill gets passed?"
[Obama, hearing his initials from the TV speaker, looks up from his Che Guevara coloring book]
[Reid, continuing] "And when we get back from recess, we'll be working very hard on the budget. It might seem like it would be easy to spend all those trillions on whatever we want, but we need to have some long, hard discussions about how our spending will improve our electoral chances. That takes a lot of time. If Obama expects us to schedule hearings for his Supreme Court nomination, he better hurry up. There's no way we're coming to DC in the summer, and we mustn't be interrupted during the fall spending spree. It's pretty much now or wait 'til next year."
[Obama, into intercom] "Rahm, ya there?"
[Rahm E.] "Yes, sire"
[Obama] "We need to talk about our SCOTUS nominee. Assemble the troops. I want you, Axe, White House Counsel greggycraig, and Judiciary Committee Senators Leahy and Specter" [Goes back to coloring Che's beard]

Rove Against Card Check
Card check does not play in Peoria. Former adviser to President George W. Bush was in town yesterday speaking at one of the downtown hotels against the misnamed "Employee Free Choice Act", which basically makes votes to unionize public. From The Peoria Journal Star:
Labor leaders say relationships they worked to build with management for more than 20 years in central Illinois were jeopardized Monday with Karl Rove's appearance to speak against the Employee Free Choice Act.
Though his appearance only lasted about an hour, the effects will be long lasting. The closed-door fundraiser was hosted by the Economic Freedom Alliance, a seven-state coalition that opposes the legislation and is traversing the Midwest.
"This group comes in without any care or any sensitivity towards those relationships. Bringing Karl Rove in is a lightning rod. That's not somebody you bring in to have a meaningful dialogue," said state Sen. Dave Koehler, D-Peoria.
Rove was a former adviser to President George W. Bush and currently is a commentator for Fox News. About 200 people representing roughly 30 unions rallied outside the Hotel Pere Marquette supporting the act, which they say will make it easier for employees to join labor unions.
The thing about card check is that it brings in more government to the workplace and further intruding on your lives. Those who should normally be making the decisions regarding union contracts - the employers and employees - would have the terms ultimately dictated to them by Big Government. Most importantly, each worker would be required to publicly declare their candidate of choice to anyone within eyesight or earshot. How is that "free choice"? Especially when you know how "coercive" union leaders can be?
I admit, in some places unions were needed for fair treatment of workers. But this was back in the days of kids working in coal mines and people exhausting themselves working 14 hour days 6 days a week. Now there are laws in effect that do protect workers from harsh practices. Unions anymore are more of a political arm for the Democrat party. Look at the teacher's unions, the UAW, SEIU, AFSCME, etc. All vote heavily Democrat. Why? They want to vote in the party that's going to help them more, such as with this card check even though it takes away the right to privacy (you libs should be all for that) of the employees on whether to unionize or not.
Now I know the libs would view someone like Karl Rove "in favor of big businesses and the corporations!" But it's "big business" that does employ people and work to keep prices low for the consumer. Take a look at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has the lowest prices around due to the fact that they do not have to raise them to pay for a union. Therefore more people shop there, and more jobs are needed. Karl Rove is not in favor of "big business". He and many others are in favor of big wallet America. Less union dues equals more money in your pocket! Now, if we could only do something about those high taxes.
I would put up the rest of the piece, but it is extremely biased. Probably due to the unionized forces (and the Democrat sycophants) for the PJ Star. They say nothing about the negative aspects, for which there are plenty including loss of jobs, in the story whatsoever.

Barack Obama's Anti-Comedy
Everyone in the blogosphere seems to be commenting on hack leftist comedienne Wanda Sykes' jab at Rush Limbaugh, calling him a traitor and hoping that his kidneys fail. Here's her comedic sh.... wit right here at the White House Correspondence Dinner the other night:
Of course Wanda Sykes has never listened to Rush, so she got his quote wrong that he hopes OBAMA fails, not the country. But this is nothing less than to be expected from the leftist sycophants making a living being funny when they are just hacks. The whole late night comedy show business won't dare insult The Won with jokes.
For instance, David Letterman quipped back in February that Chairman Zero is "cogent, eloquent and in complete command of the issues. ... What the hell am I supposed to do with that?" Plenty, Letterman if you could pry your lips off his ass for two seconds and take a good hard look at it all. Chris Rock (who I do find funny at times) said that nObama was shaping up to be a "comedian's worst nightmare."
This Administration is one big giant joke itself. When you have unemployment almost at double digits, a stimulus bill that isn't stimulating anything, a foreign policy that is little more than apologizing all over the world, the politicization of national security, and a fumbling, bumbling speechmaker more dependent on a TelePrompter than a junkie is to his needle, it's comedy gold!
Bush 41 and 43 proved to give stand up a lot of material, some of which was just unfair and mean spirited. Clinton got it big time after LewinskyGate (which Wanda Sykes defended), but not one comedian touched Obama except for maybe making fun of the rest of his cabinet or his veep Joe Biden (who can blame them there?). The annual White House Correspondence Dinner is usually a roasting of the current president, and the POTUS himself usually makes self-depreciating jokes. But not this time, for now the hacks are scared to poke the slightest jab at Obama and instead attack the opposition. Is poking jokes at Obama "racist"? I'd appreciate a comment on your thoughts below.

Obama's Constitutional Flaw
Any of Obama's policies bring one thing to the table. Wealth redistribution. We hear all the time, "The rich need to pay their fair share!" when the "rich" pay most of the income taxes that make up government revenue. Pretty soon they're going to run out of "rich" people to tax. It'll be going after those who make over 250,000 dollars one day, then 100,000, then lower and lower to pay for these Obamunist plans and policies.
Sick Bastard
From time to time, I take back my stance in favor of the death penalty. Only because it's too good for some real vermin. For instance, this sick bastard. I'm not even really sure I want to post the story here, but in an attempt to get "revenge" on an ex-girlfriend, this steaming pile of cockroach excrement, Richard McTear, destroyed the life of a 3 month old baby boy in one of the worst possible ways. From Bay News:
No words can describe my disgust for this oxygen thief and the other putrid vermin who do unspeakable damage to the lives of innocent children. There's an even hotter and more horrendous section of hell reserved especially for scum like McTear.
According to deputies, the argument happened early Tuesday morning at the Marbella Apartments on North 15th Street near Fletcher Avenue.
During the argument, McTear grabbed the baby and threw him down onto the concrete, officials said.
He then picked up the baby and fled the scene.
Authorities said he threw the infant from his car as he sped down the interstate.
Deputies said they located McTear's car earlier in the morning but had to search several more hours before tracking him down.
McTear was located in Tampa just after 9 a.m. on Arlington Drive. Officials say a citizen spotted him and called deputies to turn him in. McTear tried to run when deputies arrived to arrest him, but they apprehended him and took him to the Falkenburg Road facility for questioning.
McTear cussed at reporters and said "it's a dirty game" as deputies took him in. He was later transported to the Orient Road Jail.
No words can describe my disgust for this oxygen thief and the other putrid vermin who do unspeakable damage to the lives of innocent children. There's an even hotter and more horrendous section of hell reserved especially for scum like McTear.

Change You Can Bereave In
This video from The Family Research Center goes and tracks Obama's campaign lies and his assault on life, moral standards, and our economy.
Obama was elected with a mandate to fix the economy but he has instead pursued a radical social agenda that preys upon the most vulnerable members of our society. Change that America was B.S.ed into. And now, generations of Americans will be forever in debt thanks to his reckless policies.

Lies of the Enviromarxist Left
The environmental left is kicking off a hard-sell media campaign to win over a skeptical public on their massive carbon tax and regulation scheme. (a.k.a Crap and Trade.) As is usual when dealing with the neo-Marxist left, the strategy begins with lying.
Also, don't tell workers the truth... Crap and Trade will result in the loss of up to 3,000,000 jobs... Tell them it will actually create jobs. I saw an extremely deceptive advertisement pushing Cap and Trade on General Electric's Sci-Fi Channel Last night. The propaganda piece made it seem like cap and trade policies would bring back steelworker jobs building wind turbines.
First off, the steel industry would be among the hardest hit by cap and trade, since it uses a lot of energy (the cost of which will increase) and produces a lot of carbon dioxide (for which it will have to pay).
Second, the environmental left while claiming to support wind energy is blocking its development in such places as the Atlantic Ocean off Ted Kennedy's estate and anywhere the turbines might be seen as an eyesore or hurt the little birdies.
Third, as a result of one and two, not that many steel workers are going to be needed to build wind turbines. Certainly not enough to offset industry jobs that will be shipped off to Mehico, China, Brazil, and India... who have so far been smart enough to exempt themselves from this carbon idiocy.
Don't confuse people with cap and trade; use terms like "cap and cash back" or "pollution reduction refund."i.e. Lie to consumers that Crap-and-Trade will mean "Free monies from duh Gubmint." When the truth is, consumers' energy and other costs are going to increase $4,000 a year because of crap and trade.

New Name, Same Bad Taste
The eco-Marxists and leftist dummies have been using the farce of "global warming" for quite a long time now, and it has been plastered all over major newspapers, media outlets, and even the Weather Channel itself (even though the founder is on the more rational side). But most Americans have noticed it hasn't really been particularly warmer since 1988 and it's not really a top concern. So the marketing henchmen for The Big Hoax have decided to tinker around with some ideas on how to really sell the lie: New names for their scheme.
The term turns people off, fostering images of shaggy-haired liberals, economic sacrifice and complex scientific disputes, according to extensive polling and focus group sessions conducted by ecoAmerica, a nonprofit environmental marketing and messaging firm in Washington.
Instead of grim warnings about global warming, the firm advises, talk about "our deteriorating atmosphere." Drop discussions of carbon dioxide and bring up "moving away from the dirty fuels of the past." Don't confuse people with cap and trade; use terms like "cap and cash back" or "pollution reduction refund."
Sounds like an admission that the "global warming" campaign was a lie, not that this will prevent big government from crippling the economy with cap and trade, or whatever they want to call it now. They want to create a populist appeal for their agenda and gobble up your tax dollars like hungry pigs at a trough. And maybe Al Gore might come out with a new lackluster blockbuster on "our deteriorating atmosphere"... "An Inconvenient Truth Part II". Still there's more.
EcoAmerica has been conducting research for the last several years to find new ways to frame environmental issues and so build public support for climate change legislation and other initiatives. … Environmental issues consistently rate near the bottom of public worry, according to many public opinion polls. A Pew Research Center poll released in January found global warming last among 20 voter concerns; it trailed issues like addressing moral decline and decreasing the influence of lobbyists. "We know why it's lowest," said Mr. Perkowitz, a marketer of outdoor clothing and home furnishings before he started ecoAmerica, whose activities are financed by corporations, foundations and individuals. "When someone thinks of global warming, they think of a politicized, polarized argument. When you say 'global warming,' a certain group of Americans think that's a code word for progressive liberals, gay marriage and other such issues."
All this is going on in a smoke-filled room (although it's not cigarette smoke) where leftist bureaucrats and eco-Marxists are figuring out how to lie to you with a smile and steal your money and control your behavior. It's worked before. Socialism used to mean government stealing your hard earned money and handing out some crumbs to others. Now socialism is "change". 52% of the American people fell for it before, let's hope they don't get fooled again.

Benedict Arlen Perverts Jack Kemp's Death
This turncoat, Benedict Arlen Spectacle, who has been legislating as a Dem for 30 years, now comfortable with the rest of the lunatics in the Democrat Left party, had this to say in reference to the passing of a great American, Jack Kemp.
I guess if us "stingy" Republicans had voted money for say, more research and funding towards mental illness, Al Franken would be halfway tolerable.
This guy is not just a RINO. Another abbreviation comes to mind, oh yes. POS.

Jack Kemp 1935 - 2009
Former VP and GOP Congressman Jack Kemp dies after a long battle with cancer. Via AP:
Jack Kemp, the ex-quarterback, congressman, one-time vice-presidential nominee and self-described "bleeding-heart conservative" died Saturday.
"Pro football gave me a good perspective. When I entered the political arena, I had already been booed, cheered, cut, sold, traded, and hung in effigy."
Kemp had the political game down pat. This is one of my favorite quotes of his. I honestly think the man could have been president in '96... had he been at the top of the ticket.
God rest his soul... and prayers to the Kemp family.
