Lies of the Enviromarxist Left

The environmental left is kicking off a hard-sell media campaign to win over a skeptical public on their massive carbon tax and regulation scheme. (a.k.a Crap and Trade.) As is usual when dealing with the neo-Marxist left, the strategy begins with lying.
Don't confuse people with cap and trade; use terms like "cap and cash back" or "pollution reduction refund."
i.e. Lie to consumers that Crap-and-Trade will mean "Free monies from duh Gubmint." When the truth is, consumers' energy and other costs are going to increase $4,000 a year because of crap and trade.

Also, don't tell workers the truth... Crap and Trade will result in the loss of up to 3,000,000 jobs... Tell them it will actually create jobs. I saw an extremely deceptive advertisement pushing Cap and Trade on General Electric's Sci-Fi Channel Last night. The propaganda piece made it seem like cap and trade policies would bring back steelworker jobs building wind turbines.

First off, the steel industry would be among the hardest hit by cap and trade, since it uses a lot of energy (the cost of which will increase) and produces a lot of carbon dioxide (for which it will have to pay).

Second, the environmental left while claiming to support wind energy is blocking its development in such places as the Atlantic Ocean off Ted Kennedy's estate and anywhere the turbines might be seen as an eyesore or hurt the little birdies.

Third, as a result of one and two, not that many steel workers are going to be needed to build wind turbines. Certainly not enough to offset industry jobs that will be shipped off to Mehico, China, Brazil, and India... who have so far been smart enough to exempt themselves from this carbon idiocy.

I find myself at a loss for words. I just can't come up with a phrase that adequately expresses my loathing of these people. And I'm pretty @!#$%& creative when it comes to expressing my loathing.

Same crap going on here in Oregon. Hydroelectric is the greenest and cheapest power ever devised, but the ecofreaks still demand the dams be torn out. Lots of aluminum is produced here because of the cheap power, but that may end soon. These idiots say we have to do it to save the salmon!

OK, you oh-so-smart ecotards, let me remind you that most of these dams were built in the '30s. Yet somehow the friggin fish have managed to survive, despite these dams, for the last 75 years. Is getting rid of the dam really going to help? What's going to charge your wonderful little electric cars your so passionate about?

I could go on and on...

I've said it before... soon the libs will have us all living like Ed Begley Jr. driving corn oil propelled lawn mowers to work as we have to boil our own urine to drink it.

Extreme, yes, but look at who we're talking about.
