Fish Wrap Bailout

You knew this was coming.

With many U.S. newspapers struggling to survive, a Democratic senator on Tuesday introduced a bill to help them by allowing newspaper companies to restructure as nonprofits with a variety of tax breaks.

“This may not be the optimal choice for some major newspapers or corporate media chains but it should be an option for many newspapers that are struggling to stay afloat,” said Senator Benjamin Cardin.

So the liberals want to bailout the newspapers (most who pledge their allegiance to The 0ne) but yet tax small businesses who make over 200 thousand a year more? Small business owners provide jobs to most American people. The fourth estate provides nothing but left wing drivel disguised as news and people aren't buying them. A bailout will not increase sales for newspapers. This is just shoveling more of your hard earned money into a black hole. And the way the economy is headed, if you (like I) buy newspapers for birdcage liner, you can expect it to be cheaper to line it with dollar bills instead of the Chicago Tribune.

I Hate The Media has more on this topic. Plus it's a great blog anyway, so go check it out.

It's beyond me why anyone even buys dead tree editions anymore; especially those tree-huggers who claim to care about the environment.

This doesn't surprise me a bit though; rewarding failure, punishing success. Ugh, when is it going to end? Methinks 2013 will be too late...I really am srsly scared.
