I wouldn't spend much time on an idiot like Meghan McCain, but I don't have much to blog about. Slow news day, tired of hearing about Obama, and tomorrow I plan on enjoying St. Patty's. So perusing through the Interwebs, I came across this "news piece".
I’m often criticized for not being a “real” Republican, and I have been called a RINO—Republican In Name Only—in the past. Many say I am not “conservative enough,” which is something that I am proud of. It is no secret that I disagree with many of the old-school Republican ways of thinking. One of the biggest issues from which I seem to drift from the party base is in my support of gay marriage. I am often criticized for previously voting for John Kerry and my support of stem-cell research. For the record, I am also extremely pro-military and a big supporter of the surge and the Iraq war.
More so than my ideological differences with Ann Coulter, I don’t like her demeanor. I have never been a person who was attracted to hate or negativity. I don’t believe in scare tactics and would never condone or encourage anyone calling President Obama a Muslim. But controversy sells and Coulter is nothing if not controversial. Everything about her is extreme: her voice, her interview tactics, and especially the public statements she makes about liberals. Maybe her popularity stems from the fact that watching her is sometimes like watching a train wreck.
Like father, like daughter. Conservative when it counts. Liberal when nobody's paying attention. She also writes in her fluff piece that because of 8 years of "extremism" under Bush (I spewed Coke on my monitor when I read this) "how can GOP leaders possibly expect to reach young supporters?" So they have to abandon who they are and their principles to gain votes? Those that do might as well join the Dimocraps. Conservatism wins every time it's tried. We didn't have that this time, and that's why this twit is not living it up in the White House blaring The Jonas Brother's album in her pink painted bedroom while her father works on ways to spend more of our hard earned money.
But let me get to the Coulter Hate Fest here. I love Ann. I love the fact she is extremely bright and not brings a rapier wit to her arguments...she uses a friggin' bazooka! Her points really makes the libs go into raving foaming at the mouth fits. She is correct almost always and those that find her "abrasive" need to look no further than to see the type of "respect" the Left gave George W. Bush during his presidency.
We don't need the Paris Hilton Wing of the "Republican Party" telling us how to win elections. We need conservatism to win elections and steer America back in the right direction.

Good post ALS. Yeah if she "disagree(s) with many of the old-school Republican ways of thinking," then she's not a conservative at all and should just get it over with and join the Demos. Ditto that for all other RINOs like her father. Yeah, I voted for him, but ONLY because of Palin, and because Obama was way scarier. In 2012 I'd rather Sarah run as an Independent than with another RINO.
From that pic of her...It looks like she's wearing a snuggie blanket w/o the sleeves!
Making a bad name for blonds again!
