Check Out The Big Brain On Barry

During last night's snoozefest in front of the nation, Nobama chucked his usual trusty glass TelePrompters on either side of his podium for a JumoPrompter. A large 42 inch LCD TV positioned in the back of the White House press room.

I guess this was good for those who got tired of seeing Obama's head going back and forth like he was watching a tennis match while doing a speech, but he scraped it for a straight glare to make it seem as though he was talking to the American people. "Oh, but he speaks so good! He's the 21st century's best orator!" Yeah, we've seen him speak so well without help. "It's good to have a president who cares what he says, unlike that damned Bush!!!" So we give him a Coke because he can read off a screen. Whoopee doo. So can my 7 year old nephew (although it'd be funny if someone hacked it to read "I AM SOFA KING WE TODD ED").

Sacré merde! Obama goofs on the French

Normally, I would be all for snubbing the French, but they got a more conservative president than we do here in America right now (I keep wondering if we got sucked into Bizzaro World somehow), but this is just dumb. Nobama sent a letter to the president of France who has been wanting to sit down and discuss world events with him. Problem is, he sent it to FORMER French President Jacques Chirac. From Red State on Obama's newest foreign policy blunder.

"I am certain that we will be able to work together, in the coming four years, in a spirit of peace and friendship to build a safer world."

Needless to say, Sarkozy is upset with the faux pas. Too bad his TelePrompter didn't update him on France's change of government two years ago.

When TelePrompters Go Wild

I got a kick out of reading this from Yahoo this morning.

Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen was just a few paragraphs into an address at a St. Patrick's Day celebration at the White House when he realized something sounded way too familiar. Turns out, he was repeating the speech President Barack Obama had just given.

Cowen was set to speak twice at the White House on Tuesday night because there were two different parties going on at the executive mansion. No matter — he would give the same speech to the two different audiences.

But Cowen was 20 seconds into his second address when it dawned on him that he was giving word for word the speech that Obama had just read from the same teleprompter.

Maybe I should have kept this for Friday's Funny at TCD, but the Teleprompter Reader in Chief if his policies weren't so atrocious makes for good comedy.
